Delegation of U.S. Embassy visits development projects of SEIC Group including Marriott projects

South European Investment Company (SEIC) is currently developing four projects in Sarajevo including Marriott branded projects. It plans to finish Marriott Residence Inn project at Cobanija location by end of 2014. It will be a first internationally branded hotel in Sarajevo since the Olympic Games in 1984.

With more than 600 properties in the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Central America, Residence Inn by Marriott is a leader in the extended-stay lodging segment. Designed for long stays, the brand offers spacious suites with separate living and sleeping areas. Fully functional kitchens, grocery delivery, 24-hour markets and complimentary breakfast help guests maintain a healthy balance while on the road. Complimentary Wi-Fi allows guests to stay connected to the home and office, while health and fitness options and inviting lobby spaces provide comfortable places to work and relax.

Total SEIC planned investment into Bosnian economy as of now is 60 million KM. SEIC has generated more than 500 development jobs including in the construction sector.

U.S. Embassy representatives noted the Marriott-branded projects being developed by SEIC will return a major U.S. hotel brand to the BiH market, supporting efforts to grow tourism in the country and help further develop the BiH economy.
